Students had an assignment in Google Classroom. We worked as a whole class, and then as table groups to identify and record different aspects of culture in 3 countries from the map they have over Africa.
Students took the knowledge they already had about reasons England was motivated to explore North America, and added to it by researching reasons the Dutch, French and Spanish were also motivated to explore and settle in North America. The assignment is in Google Classroom.
Students took the knowledge that they had gotten the day before about Native American tribes and used it to compare/contrast 2 tribes of his/her choice. Then, we worked as a class to analyze artifacts left from the Anasazi civilization.
